Senior Technical Sales Manager (Aerospace, Security & Industrial)

We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Technical Sales Manager to lead business development activities across the aerospace, security and industrial sectors in Europe and North America. The ideal candidate combines deep industry expertise with strong technical acumen, particularly in opto-electronic systems, and brings an established network within governmental, military, and industrial stakeholders.

# Your responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies
• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities
• Manage and expand key accounts, partners, and system integrators
• Translate complex technologies (especially opto-electronic systems) into customer value propositions
• Lead technical sales processes (including presentations, demos, bids)
• Support industrial and public procurement processes
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams
• Monitor market trends and competitors
• Represent the company at events, exhibitions and forums
• Manage sales pipeline and forecasting

# Your profile

• 5–10+ years experience in aerospace, defense, or security
• Proven track record in technical sales, business development or account management
• Strong existing network in European defense, military, satellite or security ecosystems
• Experience working with North American partners
• Solid knowledge of opto-electronic technologies (e.g. imaging, sensors, targeting, night vision) and complex lens systems
• Fluent in German and strong proficiency in English
• Experience with industrial and governmental procurement and defense contracts
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong commercial mindset with technical depth
• Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution ability
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently across a regional scope

# Nice to have

• Experience with optical high-tech applications
• Knowledge of AR, especially in defense, training or situational awareness contexts
• Engineering background (e.g. optics, photonics, electrical engineering)
• Background in systems integration or working with multi-domain defense solutions
• Familiarity with NATO standards, EU and North American defense frameworks
