Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d)

Imagine stepping into the heart of innovation with our High Voltage Solutions Team, where you test and verify cutting-edge hardware and software for HVDC and FACTS Projects. Your day is filled with collaboration, working alongside diverse and multinational teams, project management, engineering, site construction and end customers. Together, you ensure the seamless functionality and quality of Auxiliary Systems, AC Protection Systems and Primary HV Plant during commissioning in projects constructed worldwide, all while leveraging the latest advancements in technology to provide customized solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

• Prepare test plans and protocols in accordance with industry standards and specific contractual requirements.
• Plan, set up, and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) in the laboratory and at supplier premises.
• Witness and verify supplier equipment tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and execute site testing procedures aligned with quality requirements, project schedules, and budget targets.
• Maintain comprehensive quality documentation and record all site test results.
• Support Project Management in Quality, Risk, and Claim Management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Reviews, Lessons Learned).

What You Bring

• Degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or equivalent qualification; Technician certification accepted.
• Proficient in grid protection systems, protection relays & BCUs, and testing using Omicron environment.
• Experience or knowledge in Electrical Engineering and commissioning of power stations and substations.
• Understanding of current and voltage measuring devices and other primary equipment.
• Fluent in English and German will be an asset.
• Willingness for global travel and long-term assignments, including offshore platforms; strong team player with excellent communication and decision-making skills.
