Commercial Project Manager / Project Controller (f/m/d) for Germany

A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a Project Controller / Commercial Project Manager (f/m/d), you will be the financial lead for a portfolio of complex real estate construction projects within Siemens Energy. Acting as the trusted finance business partner to the Real Estate Project Management organization, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and investment approvals while ensuring full compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards. Working closely with colleagues from Accounting, Operations, Procurement, Legal, and Real Estate, you will provide transparent financial insights that support strategic decisions and drive successful project delivery.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

• Lead the commercial execution of a dedicated portfolio of real estate construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost recognition, and financial reporting
• Prepare robust investment approvals by developing business cases, profitability analyses, and discounted cash flow models for strategic construction initiatives
• Establish accurate financial project structures in SAP, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and ensure alignment with approved project budgets and schedules
• Ensure timely month-end closing, accurate project accounting, and full compliance with IFRS and Local GAAP throughout the project lifecycle
• Present clear financial performance reports, highlight cost deviations, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders
• Partner with cross-functional teams across Finance, Real Estate, Operations, Procurement, and Legal to enable informed commercial decision-making and successful project execution

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics; a master's degree or CPA qualification is an advantage
• Longstanding professional experience in Finance, Controlling, or Project Finance, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or capital investment projects
• Strong understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis/Business Case Models in preparation of investment approvals (e.g. proof of profitability & discounted cash flow calculation
• Proven experience managing CAPEX projects, annual budgets, forecasting, free cash flow, depreciation, and financial reporting for complex project portfolios
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and Local GAAP, with hands-on experience in PP&E (CAPEX) accounting and strong SAP expertise, ideally across PS, CO, and FI modules
• Business fluent English communication skills
