Details zum Jobangebot

A Snapshot of Your Day

This role offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic engineering environment focused on industrial gas turbine development. You will collaborate with global and cross-functional teams on component design, manufacturability improvements, technical problem-solving, and technology advancement, while continuously expanding your expertise through practical experience and training.

In this position, you will play a key role in improving the design and manufacturing of complex turbine components. You will drive the development and validation of advanced simulation methods, including process modeling and defect prediction, to integrate manufacturability early in the design cycle. Your work will help reduce defects, lead times, and costs while increasing product reliability and manufacturing efficiency.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Contribution to the design and optimization of turbine hot gas path components with a focus on performance, durability, and manufacturability
  • Development and application of high-fidelity casting simulation methodologies for robust and high-yield foundry processes
  • Integration of manufacturability considerations into early-stage turbine component design through upstream simulation approaches
  • Development of innovative cooling technologies balancing thermal performance, manufacturability, and casting feasibility
  • Cross-functional collaboration with design, materials, and manufacturing teams to establish simulation-driven Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) workflows
  • Identification and resolution of complex casting challenges through advanced modeling, data-driven analysis, validation activities, and continuous enhancement of simulation methodologies

What You Bring

  • University degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering with a focus on simulation and manufacturing processes
  • Industrial experience in turbomachinery, turbine hot gas path components, thermal design, fluid systems, or related engineering applications
  • Strong expertise in multi-physics principles and Design for Manufacturability (DfM)
  • Longstanding years of experience with FEA, CFD, and CAD, including advanced 3D simulation tools (e.g., ProCast, Star-CCM+, Simcenter 3D, ANSYS)
  • High level of motivation, initiative, self-management, and innovation capability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, combined with business-fluent German and English proficiency
